Handcrafted by Dewi using construction methods dating back to the 10th century, the house features magnificent timber framing with no nails. The network of beams, rafters, and braces are interlocked and secured by wooden pegs, which remain exposed for guests to marvel at. Built in 1992, the house is a labor of love and a dream house in the country. The timber used in its construction was provided by Cyclone Bola in 1988, including 25 cubic meters of macrocarpa and poplar, plus oak spikes.
