Description

Howlong Memorial Park is a picturesque foreshore location on the banks of the Murray River.

It offers a range of activities for both kids and adults, making it a perfect family day out. Kids can enjoy playing on the play equipment, fishing, or having a picnic in the Enchanted Hut. Adults can relax and take in the beautiful views of the river, read a book under the gum trees, or have a barbecue in the designated area.

The park features a Memorial archway erected by the Howlong RSL and A.I.L.A. Branch in 1948. The archway has plaques listing the names of those who sacrificed their lives during the 1914–18 and 1939–45 wars. Adjacent to the avenue of trees, there are individual plaques honoring the service details of those who died in World War II.

Howlong Memorial Park is open all year round, seven days a week. It is an ideal spot for picnics, relaxing by the river, or simply enjoying the views. To get there, take the Hume Highway and exit at the Murray River Bridge. The park is located at the end of the town's main street in Howlong, New South Wales.
