Description

Irukandji is an interactive & educational aquarium suitable for guests of all ages. We have removed the glass seen in traditional aquariums & invite you into the water with our friendly Sharks & Rays!

LEADERS IN MARINE EDUCATION, CONSERVATION & FUN

Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters is an incredible interactive aquarium like no other. Visitors can enjoy our sandy beaches surrounded by many curious, friendly sharks & rays whilst staying (mostly) dry - only getting their feet wet.

Stepping into the shallows of our mindfully created natural style lagoons, allows guests to experience an animal encounter like no other. Our friendly animals display their endearing personalities, stealing the hearts of all who meet them. Visitors quickly develop a passion and stewardship towards these often misunderstood critters, making for a life-long love and understanding of these species and the ocean ecosystem.

Thrill seekers have the opportunity to swim amongst our large 3m Tawny Nurse Sharks and our cheeky Whitetip Reef Sharks, in the exhilarating Reef Shark Snorkel (12yrs+). While our famous Zebra Shark Encounter and our Little Ray Cuddle are family friendly favourites.

Irukandji is suitable for guests of all ages and walks of life, and is passionate about educating visitors about marine conservation, the importance that these keystone species play in our Oceans, providing memories to last a lifetime.
