Description
Island Arch Lookout Port Campbell is a popular travel destination in Australia known for its stunning views of The Island Arch and Loch Ard Gorge.
It can be accessed from the Loch Ard Gorge car park, where visitors will find a signboard with information about the various walking tracks and lookouts. The Tom & Eva Lookout, located near the car park, offers the best view of The Island Arch. Despite its collapse in 2009, the area still showcases impressive stacks of sandstone and limestone. For those interested in seeing another standing archway, a short drive west along the Great Ocean Road will lead to one. The best time to visit Island Arch Lookout is in early summer, during November, when the weather is sunny but cold. To reach Port Campbell, visitors can fly into Melbourne and drive for about 3 hours along the Great Ocean Road or take a bus or hire a car from Melbourne. A short walk from the car park will lead visitors to the lookout, where they can enjoy breathtaking views of The Island Arch and Loch Ard Gorge.
