Description
Jolly's Lookout Point Nebo is a famous spot in D'Aguilar National Park, located 28 km north-west of Brisbane's city centre.
It is the oldest formal lookout on the range and offers breathtaking panoramic views and a calm bushwalk. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views, have a picnic or barbecue, and take a peaceful bushwalk. The lookout provides 180-degree views of D'Aguilar Range, the Glass House Mountains, Samford Valley, Moreton Bay, and the bay islands. It is a great spot for photographers. The area is home to various Australian wildlife species, including goannas, currawongs, wallabies, and kookaburras.
Jolly's Lookout Point Nebo is easily accessible by car, with sealed roads suitable for conventional vehicles. To reach the lookout from The Gap, take Mount Nebo Road to Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre and continue north-west for another 16 km to the turn-off. The lookout is open 24/7, but it is best to visit during daylight hours. The recommended time to explore the area is between April and September, during the warmer and drier months.
