To get to Kalarranga Lookout, you need to travel to Hermannsburg, which is approximately 130km from Alice Springs via Larapinta Drive. From Hermannsburg, follow the signs to Palm Valley Track along the Finke River. The trailhead is well-signposted and there are parking areas available.

When visiting Kalarranga Lookout, it is important to come prepared. Bring plenty of water and sun protection, as there are limited shaded areas along the trail. The weather can be extreme, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C, so it is crucial to stay hydrated and nourished.
