Description
Paddle through the scenic Lower Tuross River and Borang Lake in Bodalla.
The area offers convenient amenities such as free parking, waterside cafes, and nearby toilets. Remember to bring a map and compass for guidance during the activity.
Begin the kayaking adventure by heading southwest across Tuross Lake. Pass through a small bridge and turn left at the T junction to explore the southern side of Cambanthin Island. Then, turn left again and paddle for 300 meters up the Tuross River to reach the entrance to Borang Lake on your left. It's best to undertake this paddle on high tide due to the shallow entrance. Enjoy the stunning beauty of the lake before returning via the same route.
The best time to undertake this adventure is during high tide. Check the tide times before you go to avoid any inconveniences.
The kayak adventure is easily accessible from Trafalgar Road / Nelson Parade at Lavender Bay. Simply park your car along the shallow sandy edge and proceed to the starting point of the activity.
