Description
Kings Bridge is an iconic river crossing in Melbourne, Australia, connecting the CBD and South Melbourne for over five decades.
Designed in 1959 by Hardcastle & Richards, the bridge's construction stunned the public with its unique design. The bridge was subsequently repaired and refurbished, with modifications made to improve safety. Currently, the south end of Kings Bridge is undergoing work to address sinking issues. Despite having eight lanes, a significant portion of the bridge's space is used for basements and ramps for the nearby Crown Casino. Visitors to Melbourne can easily access various landmarks and attractions from Kings Bridge, including Crown Casino and the Central Business District.
