The park features exquisite and diverse plant life that showcases every region of Western Australia, spread across 17 hectares. The visitor can explore the park through two different walk trails, both of which showcase more than 3,000 flowering plant species.
Kings Park Botanical walks are accessible through several means of transport, including a seven-minute bus ride, ten-minute drive, or a 25-minute walk from the city center. Visitors can access the start of the trail, located at the end of Fraser Avenue. It's best to start your journey by visiting the Visitor Information Centre to get a map of the park to ensure you don't miss out on any of the awe-inspiring sites within.
Kings Park Botanical Walks offers visitors an immersive experience with nature. The most popular of these walking trails, the Lotterywest Federation Walkway takes you up into the treetops giving you a breathtaking vista of the picturesque Swan River and the city of Perth. The walkway offers the best panoramic view of the park's fantastic flora and breathtaking scenery, and the walk takes an average of 40 minutes return.
Suppose you're looking for a longer and more leisurely walk with a peaceful setting. In that case, the loop trail through the tranquil Water Garden and Pioneer Women's Memorial Fountain should be on your itinerary. The trail offers a path that takes you through the park's diverse natural landscape, and it takes at least one hour to complete the loop.
