The Lodge is built on the site of the old school teachers' residence, and the original Kokonga School, built in 1897, remains on its original site. The lodge offers six ensuited rooms with comfortable quality furnishings throughout. The rooms are stylishly decorated and provide a luxurious experience for guests. The lodge also has expansive outdoor areas and decks where guests can relax and recharge. For added relaxation and enjoyment, the lodge has recently installed a swimming pool. Guests can relax and delight in the turquoise water while enjoying the panoramic view of the Kakanui Ranges.

Kokonga Lodge offers a home-cooked meal and a continental breakfast. Breakfast is included in the tariff, and the evening meal is at a cost of $60.00 per head for a two-course meal. The lodge offers flavorsome New Zealand cuisine, and guests can enjoy nutritious meals during their stay.
