Description

Kondalilla National Park is a nature reserve located in the Blackall Range of Southeast Queensland, Australia.

It was founded by William Skene in the early 1900s as a recreational area and was later renamed Kondalilla by the Queensland Government. The park is known for its diverse collection of flora species, including piccabeen palms, pink ash, hoop pines, and casuarinas. It also features eucalypt forests, subtropical rainforest, and the most easterly stand of bunya pines in Australia. The park provides habitat for various wildlife species, including the rare Pouched Frog and over 100 bird species. It offers two popular walking tracks - the Picnic Creek Circuit and the Kondalilla Falls Circuit. Visitors can use the large picnic area in the park, but camping is not permitted. Toilets are available, but the water is non-potable.
