Description
Lady Musgrave Island is a small coral cay located in the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef.
It can be accessed from Bundaberg or the Town of 1770. The island is known for its stunning coral reefs, making it a popular diving spot.
There are 14 world-class dive sites around Lady Musgrave Island, offering the chance to see a variety of sea creatures. Diving the coral gardens on the northern side or the extensive drop-off on the southern side allows for encounters with manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, and more.
Snorkeling is also an option for those who prefer to stay close to the water's surface. The clear waters of the Lady Musgrave Island lagoon provide a spectacular view of the reefs and their inhabitants.
The Lady Musgrave Island Dive Sites are open year-round, allowing visitors to experience the Great Barrier Reef regardless of the time of year.
To reach the dive sites, you can take a two-hour boat ride from Bundaberg or join a tour group departing from the Town of 1770, with the option to camp on the island.
