Lake Parramatta Reserve is a stunning nature reserve located near the Parramatta CBD, Sydney, Australia.
It covers over 70 hectares of bushland, perfect for visitors looking for a quick escape from the city. The Reserve is open all year round, and entry is free. The main gate opens at 6:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm (7:30 pm during summer months).

The lake is the main attraction, and visitors can enjoy swimming in its clear waters during the warmer months (from October each year). The Reserve also offers boat-hire if visitors wish to take a paddle around the calm lake.

Lake Parramatta Reserve is a significant site for the traditional owners of the land, the Darug people. Evidence still remains of the regular usage of and occupation by the Aboriginal Burramattagal clan within the Reserve.
The best time to visit Lake Parramatta Reserve is during the summer season, from October to March. The weather is sunny and warm, and the lake is open for swimming
