Description
Lake Seppings, also known as Tjuirtgellong in Noongar, is a freshwater lake located in Albany, Western Australia.
It is surrounded by a compacted gravel footpath and wooden walkways, with access available through a car park on Golf Links Road. The lake spans a total area of 17.1 hectares and is home to a diverse range of bird species, making it a popular spot for birdwatchers. The vegetation around the lake includes bullrushes, reeds, and various tree species. The history of Lake Seppings dates back thousands of years, and it holds cultural significance for the Noongar people. It has undergone restoration efforts and is now protected as a natural wetland.
