Description

Liffey Falls Reserve is a stunning state reserve located within the Great Western Tiers mountain range in Tasmania's north.

It is a part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

The reserve is home to Victoria Falls, one of Tasmania's most magnificent waterfalls. The Liffey River cascades over four sets of waterfalls, surrounded by dense rainforest. Visitors can easily view all four waterfalls from sturdy platforms along the 45-minute return walk from the picnic area to Victoria Falls. The reserve is open from sunrise to sunset every day, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace.

In addition to the waterfalls, the reserve offers breathtaking views of the unspoiled Tasmanian wilderness. The forest is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the Tasmanian pademelon, spotted-tail quoll, and eastern barred bandicoot. The reserve's lower altitude provides cooler temperatures and fresh mountain air, enhancing the overall experience.
