The Lightning Ridge Bore Baths are a unique attraction located in Lightning Ridge, a small town in north-western New South Wales, Australia. The bore baths are fed by natural spring water that flows up from the Great Artesian Basin, a natural underground water source that covers an area of over one million square kilometers across several states of Australia. The water in the bore baths is believed to be approximately two million years old and is rich in minerals, renowned for its therapeutic properties.

The Lightning Ridge Bore Baths offer visitors an opportunity to experience the natural healing powers of the ancient waters. The water is warm and inviting with temperatures ranging between 40 to 50 degrees Celsius. The high mineral content of the water makes it ideal for swimming, soaking, and relaxing. The site has several mineral baths with available wheelchair access.

The Lightning Ridge Bore Baths are open seven days a week from 7am-9pm (excluding Christmas day). Bathing is prohibited if the bore baths' temperature exceeds 50°C, in such instances, alternative thermal pools are available.

Lightning Ridge is located approximately 750km North West of Sydney and 750 km south of Brisbane, with the New South Wales/Queensland border situated approximately 80km to the north. Visitors can access the town through car, coach, or air services. There are several coach companies that service Lightning Ridge, and car rentals are available from the site. The nearest airport is in Narrabri, which has daily flights to and from Sydney.
