Little Bald Rock Walking Track Boonoo Boonoo is a spectacular hiking trail in New South Wales.
The 6.5-kilometre track offers an exhilarating journey through the beautiful countryside, with an impressive elevation gain to the top of the granite dome.
The hike takes you along the base of Bald Rock, surrounded by refreshing forests of mountain gum and granite swellings. The scenery is breathtaking, and reaching the top rewards you with superb views as far as Girraween National Park in Queensland. The combination of unique rock formations, lush greenery, and stunning views makes this hike unforgettable.
Wildlife encounters are common on the trail, with Boronias and banksias sprinkled along the way, as well as geckos and skinks sunning themselves in rock crevices.
The Little Bald Rock Walking Track is open year-round, but the best time to visit is between April and October when the weather is more mild and pleasant for hiking.
To get to the track, drive around 50 minutes from Tenterfield, New South Wales, to Boonoo Boonoo National Park. Take Boonoo Boonoo Road to the park entrance and follow the signs to the Little Bald Rock Walking Track. Ample parking is available, and the starting point is clearly marked.
