Luxton Apartments

Luxton Apartments is a multi-storey inner city apartment development in Highgate between Mt Lawley & Northbridge, calling for affordable apartment types with a focus on space space efficiency.

The MJA design conceived the development as two separate buildings fronting onto their respective street frontages but linked by a podium level. This approach and the subtraction of built volume away from the boundary has allowed extensive Northern solar access, opportunity for cross ventilation and increased views for apartments. The MJA design met the guidelines of ‘Design Excellence’ from the City of Vincent which allowed two storeys of additional height.

A communal roof terrace commands substantial CBD views.
