Located on Alpine Way, about 16 km south of Khancoban, Major Clews Hut walking track is a fantastic day walk for visitors looking for diverse landscapes and stunning views.

You'll also have the opportunity to see Major Clews Hut, a historic alpine hut built in the late 1950s for the eponymous Major, a surveyor for the Snowy Mountain Scheme.

You can enjoy Major Clews Hut Walking Track all year round, but the best time to visit is from October to April when the weather is milder. During these months, the plants and trees in the region are in bloom, making the hike more picturesque.
