Moana Sands Conservation Park is of prehistoric significance, with evidence of Aboriginal flakes, implements, and burials. The park is also known for its unusual red sands, making it an extraordinary natural wonder with outstanding Aboriginal historical and cultural importance.
Classified as an IUCN Category III protected area, Moana Sands Conservation Park is primarily dedicated to protecting biological diversity and offers limited visitor facilities.
Visitors are welcome to access the park at any time, free of charge, to appreciate its historical significance. Interpretive signs provide information about the park, Aboriginal culture, and its historical story.
