Description

Mona Vale Beach is a stunning beach on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.

It spans across a length of one kilometre and is characterized by two distinct beach areas separated by a broad ocean rock platform.

The southern end of the beach features powerful surf waves that roll into the gully formed by the ocean rock platform. The surf club area is patrolled, providing a safe swimming option. The gully break is great for experienced surfers, but caution is advised due to the strong undertow.

The northern end of Mona Vale Beach, known as Cooks Terrace, is an excellent option for surfers who prefer uncrowded areas. There is also a small right-hand reef break called The Basin to the north, perfect for long board surfers. The beach offers facilities such as a 25-metre ocean-fed lap pool and a smaller pool for children, both located on the ocean rock platform. The platform is also ideal for fishing. Visitors can enjoy a walk along the beach, relax, and soak up the sun. The Surf Life Saving Club at Mona Vale Beach has a café for dining options.

Mona Vale Beach is a great place to visit throughout the year. In summer, visitors can enjoy swimming in the cool waters and basking in the sun. Winter offers a less crowded beach experience and opportunities for advanced surfers.

To get to Mona Vale Beach, visitors can take a bus or drive to the beach area. There is ample parking available close to the beach.
