Scattered throughout the vineyards, gardens, and wetlands of the Montalto estate, the sculpture trail features a diverse range of monumental and intimate works created by both established and emerging artists.
The Montalto Sculpture Trail offers visitors an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the estate while also engaging with captivating contemporary art. The trail features a permanent collection of over 30 works alongside the annual Montalto Sculpture Prize Exhibition of Finalists, which showcases exciting new talent in the Australian art world.
The Sculpture Trail is open year-round, and the permanent collection can be viewed whenever Montalto is open. During this time, visitors also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite work and purchase the non-acquisitive award-winning piece, as well as any of the finalist’s works available for purchase.
Montalto is located at 33 Shoreham Road, Red Hill South, Victoria, Australia. It is approximately 80km south of Melbourne, a 1-hour and 20-minute drive via the M1 and Eastlink. Visitors can also take a scenic train ride from Melbourne to Frankston and then transfer to a bus that goes directly to Montalto.
