A boutique vineyard making interesting wines from the heart of Wilyabrup, Margaret River, including an ancient-style fermented sparkling rosé.
Morlet is a boutique vineyard in Cowaramup, managed with meticulous viticulture and a focus on sustainable farming. The vineyard includes two blocks planted in 1998 and 2000 with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Zinfandel.
The Wines
The handpicked wines are made with uncompromising quality, matured only in French and American oak. Unique to the label are the Rosé wines. The Filly’s Folly Zinfandel Rosé is a sweeter style with a zippy ferment-induced fizz, while the Pat Nat is made from the ancient ‘petillant naturel’ fermenting technique for sparkling wine, known for its interesting residual flavours and body.
There is no cellar door however the wines can be found at selected Perth retailers, farmer’s markets, annual events and via the Morlet Wines website.
