Description
Located on the south side of the Tomago River, the Mossy Point Anchor Lookout offers breathtaking views over Tomakin, Mossy Point, and Broulee.
At the lookout, you will find the Mossy Boatshed Cafe, where you can grab some refreshments and admire the stunning views of the river. You can also hire kayaks from the boatshed and explore the river at your leisure. The Anchor Memorial is also located at the Mossy Point Anchor Lookout. The anchor was raised from the Tomaga River where it had served as an aid to navigation in the early part of last century. Visitors can see this piece of history and appreciate the significance of the anchor in navigation history. The Mossy Point Anchor Lookout is open 7 days a week, and there is no entry fee. We recommend visiting during the sunrise or sunset hours when the view is particularly spectacular. The lookout is easily accessible by car, located just off George Bass Drive. For those catching public transport, there is a bus stop just a short walk away from the lookout.
