Description
Mount Augustus, also known as Burringurrah, is a majestic peak located in the Mount Augustus National Park in Western Australia.
The area spans over 4,795 hectares and is known for its unique flora. Mount Augustus stands out as one of the most spectacular solitary peaks in the world, with its colors changing from deep indigo to bright pink, orange, and red. Adventurers can climb the rock and walk the 12-kilometer summit trail East Lyons River, while less-adventurous visitors can enjoy easier walking trails, drive trails, lookouts, swimming holes, and picnic spots. The best time to visit is between April and September, and visitors can access the park via public or private transport, or by catching a flight to Mount Augustus Airport.
