Description
Located just 35 kilometers east of Mount Barker in South Australia is the Mount Barker Summit.
It offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and is a short hike that takes approximately 13 minutes to complete. The trail passes a lookout area with picnic tables before reaching the summit.
You can extend this hike by also walking around the summit on the 1.7km Scenic Bush Walk. Along this trail, you will discover important conservation areas and learn about the historical, geological, and cultural significance of Mount Barker Summit.
The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and witness the beautiful sunset over the hills. Mount Barker Summit is easily accessible by car and has parking available at the end of Mount Summit Road.
