A great place to stop for a picnic and a short bush walk when travelling between Walpole and Manjimup.
Mount Burnett is an attractive bush picnic site, the perfect place to stop for a cuppa when driving along the highway.
Why not stretch your legs and walk to the top of Mount Burnett for views of the Walpole Wilderness? The trail takes you across a boardwalk over a creek, through jarrah forest to a lookout on top of a granite outcrop. It returns to the carpark via a loop trail that passes through more jarrah forest interspersed with bull banksia and grass trees.
Distance: 1 kilometre loop walk
Time: allow 30 minutes return
Class: 4 Moderately difficult walk
