A magnificent tribute to Australia's servicemen and women was created in the Hay countryside in December 2020. Melbourne artist Matt Adnate created a stunning memorial to the contribution of the people of Hay to two world wars, which is displayed on two water towers on the outskirts of Hay town, near popular Sandy Point beach. portraits of five people who served in World War II adorn the water towers to represent the hundreds of people in this small community who answered the call to arms.
It connects rural communities through arts and tourism, giving people from all walks of life the opportunity to experience Australia's number one road trip.
