Description
Nobbys Beach is a well-known local dog-friendly beach located in Port Macquarie.
The beach stretches over 400 meters covered in white sand and is nestled between the 30-meter high Nobby Head and the Southern rocks of Flynn's Beach. The central focus of Nobbys Beach is its archetypal conglomeration of rocks at its center which adds to the beauty of the beach.
The beach is generally sheltered by the headland making it an ideal area for swimming. Moreover, the rocky nature of the beach also makes it a perfect place for rock fishing, with a number of popular gutters located in the sand and bordering the rocks. It is worth noting that Nobbys Beach is not patrolled by lifeguards, thus extra caution is required when swimming. Visitors can check out the local beach safe guides to monitor current conditions prior to swimming. Due to the calm and protected waters and rocks that lay close to shore at Nobbys Beach, surfing is not recommended here.
You can access Nobbys Beach via path and stairs connecting the car park and the beach. This is located on the Southern end of the beach and behind Nobby Head. Another way to access the beach is by using the walking platform built over the rocks at Flynns Beach. Visitors can also access it via the Kenny Walk which is just off Pacific Drive. It's a 5-10 min walk around the coast with spectacular views.
Visitors can access Nobbys Beach all year round. Nobbys Beach is a beautiful and relaxed spot
