Description
The world's longest freshwater pipeline is the stuff of legends and the perfect place to find out about the controversy and tragedy surrounding its development is No 1 Pump Station.
Due to extensive works being carried out around Mundaring Weir the museum will be closed from 2 January 2013 until further notice.
On average, ninety million litres of water are pumped through Western Australia's 'Golden Pipeline' each day, in an engineering feat that has continued uninterrupted since 1903. The start of the water's 560km journey is the impressive Mundaring Weir, set in a natural bush setting.
