The house offers sweeping views onto Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and the Indian Ocean, 5 minutes to the river and 20 minutes walk to the beach, not to mention your own 2.28ha private land to enjoy.
The space
Ooi House by Kerry Hill Architects is a seminal project in Australia's modern architectural canon. The iconic home has ample space for big groups of family and friends for all occasions. Whether relaxing in the sunken lounge by the fire, or outside on the large deck watching the natural landscape, or entertaining social groups, there is a space to fit any preference.
As you approach the house, you may notice rabbits and Kangaroos roaming freely on the grounds. The house itself is approximately 270sqm.
Bedrooms:
Each bedroom includes large king size beds with access to their own private ensuite. All doors are fitted with locks.
With ceilings stretching over 3 metres tall, two of the bedrooms are approximately 20sqm, with the master bedroom nearly 30sqm. Each bedroom has natural light feeding through the space.
Private Ensuites:
Ensuites include everything you would expect from high end accommodation. heated floors with rain head showers and enough cabinetry to store your belongings during your short stay.
Kitchen/Living/Dining:
The open plan spaces include large sliding doors to access a huge deck overlooking the landscape. This includes a kitchen with a massive benchtop for entertaining. All modern amenities and appliances are available for use. The fully functional kitchen contains everything you will need during your stay.
The dining space is set between the natural landscape and a beautiful internal courtyard with the fishpond home to 3 goldies.
Sitting in the living room, you are in a prime spot to watch the sun set whilst the woodfire place crackles beside you on those cold winter nights.
Study/Sunken Lounge:
Opportunities to pick a few books to read during your stay, or send a few cheeky emails during your getaway in our study room overlooking the back garden. The sunken lounge is where the TV is located for movie nights, kids getaway and board games by the fire. We have a few classic DVDs in the house, and if the classics dont suit, Netflix is always available through the Playstation.
