Description
Located in the beautiful Riverina region of south western New South Wales is a stunning 22,231 hectare park situated 46 kilometres (29 mi) southeast of Hay and south of Carrathool.
Oolambeyan Station was once a grazing property for its merino stud that was acquired by the Government of New South Wales in November 2001, which was then converted to a national park.
Visitors can enjoy a range of activities at the park, including bushwalking, picnicking, and bird watching, making it an ideal location for day visitors. The park offers an immersive experience for all nature enthusiasts, with several animal species habituating the area. Visitors can spot carpet snakes, shingle-backed lizards, lace monitors, and gray and red kangaroos in their natural habitat.
