Description
Para Wirra Conservation Park is a vast protected area in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges.
It spans 1,417 hectares and is part of a larger block of native vegetation owned by PIRSA Forestry, SA Water, and private landholders.
The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including over 100 species of birds and animals such as kangaroos, echidnas, and antechinuses. There are also over 500 native plant species, some of which are rare and specific to the Mount Lofty Ranges.
Visitors to the park can enjoy a range of facilities and activities. There are picnic areas and barbecue facilities for a relaxing day out, as well as walking trails of varying lengths and difficulties.
