In 1994, the home was moved to its current location, where the restaurant was established. That same year, the bar, kitchen, and verandas were built around the homestead, forming the Pepper Tree Restaurant and Bar. The establishment prides itself on the grand pepper tree, approximately 97 years old, which remains a landmark in the Coromandel township.
