Description
Perry's Lookdown is a stunning lookout located at the edge of the Grose Valley in the Blue Mountains of Australia.
Named after Samuel Augustus Perry or a local innkeeper, Frederick Eccleston Du Faur, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and forests.
For those interested in camping, Perry's Lookdown offers five individual campsites near the car park. These campsites are free, but visitors should bring their own water and firewood as there are no facilities provided.
The lookout at Perry's Lookdown serves as a starting point for exploring the beautiful Blue Gum Forest. Accessible only by foot, this ancient forest is located 656 meters below the lookout and offers a picturesque hike through the wilderness of the Blue Mountains.
Visitors should note that the road to Blackheath, the nearest town, is unsealed. Extra caution is necessary when driving, so it is important to plan accordingly.
