Description
The Pipers River Board Walk is a 180-meter-long boardwalk managed by East Tamar Landcare.
It runs through a unique patch of old remnant riparian vegetation and is part of the Reg Yates Memorial Interpretation Centre, which aims to provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the natural beauty of the region.
At the Pipers River Board Walk, visitors can immerse themselves in the natural habitat and observe various flora and fauna. The area's natural beauty also makes it an ideal site for nature photography.
The Pipers River Board Walk is open daily, and visitors can come at any time of the year.
To get to the Pipers River Board Walk, visitors can easily access it by car. It is located in Pipers River, approximately 44 km from Launceston. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Visitors can follow the East Tamar Highway for approximately 35 km, then take a left onto Bridport Road. After driving for another 5 km, visitors can turn right onto Pipers River Road, and the boardwalk is around 3 km from there.
