Description
Pippas Pass Blaxland is an 11.4 km out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 444 m.
It is located near Lapstone, NSW and is accessible from the parking area off Short Street in Blaxland. The trail takes about 3 hours and 34 minutes on average to complete and is moderately challenging.
The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding forest and wildlife in the Blue Mountains National Park. Hikers can also enjoy lush vegetation, a small creek, and waterfalls along the way. Appropriate clothing and insect repellent are recommended, and dogs are not allowed. Hikers should be accompanied by a group, carry a topographic map, and have wilderness navigation skills. To get to Pippas Pass Blaxland, drive west of Sydney and park off Short Street in Blaxland. The trail can be accessed from behind the Blaxland Library.
For families with younger children, there is a shorter and easier trail option. It spans 2.7 km with an elevation gain of 126 meters and takes about 56 minutes on average to complete. This route offers a single walking track with some climbing, perfect for young children. There are also pools, waterfalls, and a peaceful atmosphere.
