Description
Port Macquarie Coastal Walk is a must-see attraction for tourists visiting the Port Macquarie area.
This nine-kilometre-long (one-way) coastal walk is a great way to explore the beautiful coastline while enjoying stunning seaside scenery that surrounds Port Macquarie.
Starting from the Town Green foreshore, the walk winds along the coast via Town Beach, Rocky Beach lookout, Nobby’s Beach, and Harry’s lookout, overlooking Shelly Beach and then on to Sea Acres. The south end of the walk is one of the few places on the east coast where the forest meets the foam. The walk ends at Tacking Point lighthouse, but you can break it up into shorter sections if you're looking for a shorter walk or are walking with kids.
During the walk, you'll see several historical sites along the way and enjoy the stunning seaside scenery that surrounds Port Macquarie. You will walk on beaches, and there are multiple sections with stairs and viewing platforms.
The weather during this period is also mild and comfortable, making it the best time for outdoor activities.
To get to Port Macquarie Coastal Walk, start from the Town Green foreshore in Port Macquarie. It's a short walk from the town centre, and you can easily find your way. If coming from outside Port Macquarie, there are a few transport options available, including bus, train, or private car.
