Portland Harbour Tours

Come join Portland Harbour Tours for an unforgettable experience of Portland’s stunning industrial, natural, and historic features!

Our exclusive tours, led by qualified skipper John Elleway, depart conveniently from the Portland Visitor Information Centre.

Our vessel, the “Eve of Discovery”, is a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) built for open ocean conditions but equally at home in the calm waters of the Port. It has seating and life jackets for 10 seated passengers for your comfort.

We offer two tours: the Harbour Tour, a 35 minute tour of the Port of Portland full of information about shipping, fishing and history, and the Lawrence Rocks Seal Tour, a 1 hour 15 minute journey along the Southern Ocean coast to Blacknose Point and Lawrence Rocks. Here you can witness seals, gannets, cormorants, terns, and sea eagles up close!
