Prawn Rock Channel

Prawn Rock Channel is a secluded swimming spot located just north of Ocean Beach in Denmark, Western Australia.

It is part of a national biosphere area known for its diverse fish and bird life, including the iconic Western Australian black swan.

Visitors to Prawn Rock Channel can enjoy swimming, fishing, and taking in the view of the Wilson Inlet. Nearby attractions include McGearys Rock, a popular fishing location with panoramic views, and the Mokare Heritage Trail, which winds along the east side of the Denmark River. The Ocean Beach Lookout is also worth a visit for surfers and wind-surfers to check the waves and wind conditions.

The best time to visit Prawn Rock Channel is during the summer months of December to February when the weather is warm and sunny. To get to Prawn Rock Channel, visitors can drive north of Ocean Beach and pass by the channel along the way. An access road leads to the left along the cliff top to the Ocean Beach Lookout. Alternatively, there are several tours available in the area, including full-day and bus tours.
