Rats Of Tobruk Reserve is a small reserve located in Albert Park, Melbourne.
This park is dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives during World War II in Libya. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk around the park, and admire the beautiful garden that surrounds the historical monument. The monument commemorates the story of the ANZAC soldiers who bravely defended the city of Tobruk for eight months of a siege during the WWII from April to December in 1941. There are shaded benches available where visitors can sit and enjoy the view or they can lay their picnic mats on the grassy area and have a picnic. This park is a great spot for families with young children, where they can play, run and have fun in the open-air playground.
The Rats of Tobruk Reserve is open every day of the year from dawn to dusk. The best time to visit the park is during the warmer months of the year when you can bask in the sun and enjoy the breeze. The trees in the park provide great shade for visitors during the summer months. The Rats of Tobruk Reserve is located on the corner of Moubray Street and Ogrady Street, in Albert Park. It is easily accessible by public transportation, with the nearest bus stop being a short walk from the park. Visitors with their own transport can easily reach the park via surrounding streets.
