Red Rooster

The Red Rooster is a fast food chain specializing in roast chicken, chicken burgers, and fried chicken.

It has two locations in Rockhampton, one in the north and one in the south. The south location is at 102 George St, while the north location is at 113 Musgrave St. It is a counter-serve establishment where customers order at the counter and wait for their food to be prepared. The menu includes a variety of chicken dishes, wraps, burgers, salads, as well as sides like chips and desserts. Customers can order for pickup or delivery, and the restaurant also offers catering services. The Red Rooster chain was founded in 1972 by the Kailis family in Perth, Australia. It is currently owned by private equity company PAG Asia Capital, which also owns Oporto and Chicken Treat. The chain has been a signatory of the Australian QSR Initiative for Responsible Advertising and Marketing to Children since 2009 and has taken a self-regulatory standpoint regarding advertising aimed specifically at children.
