Description
Redleaf Beach is a serene retreat located in Sydney's trendy Double Bay precinct.
The beach offers crystal-clear waters for swimming and is surrounded by lush green parkland. Recently renovated, the beach now features the Murray Rose Pool, which provides a safe and tranquil swimming environment. The pool is enclosed by a shark net and is suitable for both children and adults. Lifeguards are on duty during swimming season. The pool area also offers a wrap-around pontoon for leisurely walks and stunning views of the harbor.
Redleaf Beach boasts excellent facilities, including free public toilets, a shower block, and an outdoor shower. There are picnic tables and barbeques available for public use, as well as ample grassy areas for picnics or games. The beach provides shade from the hills and plenty of trees for shelter on hot days. A canteen on the hill serves delicious meals, drinks, and snacks, with stunning views of the harbor and the possibility of seeing the Harbour Bridge on clear days.
The best time to visit Redleaf Beach is during the summer months when the water is warm and the park is lively. The park is also a great option for an evening stroll or an early morning swim.
To reach Redleaf Beach, the easiest way is by car or public transport. Free parking is available along New South Head Road and surrounding streets, but spaces can be limited on busy days. Public transport options include buses and trains, with the closest train station being Edgecliff. Frequent buses run from the CBD and surrounding suburbs to Double Bay.
