Rennix walking track

Located in the scenic Kosciuszko National Park, Rennix Walking Track offers breathtaking views of Snowy River and Lake Jindabyne.

This track is suitable for both experienced hikers and casual walkers, who will be delighted by the changing scenery along the way. The walking track passes through several forested ridges, and shallow valleys through subalpine meadows. The turning point, Giants Castle, is particularly picturesque with dramatic boulder outcroppings. From here, visitors can enjoy a leisurely picnic, birdwatching with binoculars, or simply take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Rennix Walking Track is open year-round, but some seasons offer a unique and exciting experience. In winter, visitors can witness the snow-covered track, making for an invigorating and awe-inspiring walk through the national park. From January to Easter, the track is decorated with wildflowers, offering a colourful and vibrant bushwalking adventure.

The Rennix Walking Track is accessible from the Alpine Way, around 18km south of Jindabyne. The trackhead is clearly signposted, and visitors can park at the small layby on the other side of the road. Rennix Walking Track is an excellent way to experience the beauty and diversity of Kosciuszko National Park.
