Description
Resolute Beach Sydney is a secluded, picturesque beach located on the West Head peninsula in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
The beach can be accessed via two different routes, either a 2km return walk from West Head Lookout or a 3.5km return walk from the Resolute Picnic Area. There is also a 6 km circuit walk called the Resolute Beach loop walk, which takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. It offers stunning views at West Head Lookout and takes you to other beautiful and secluded beaches, including the West Head and Great Mackerel beaches. Although the walk can be challenging, it provides fantastic coastal views, diverse scenery, and cultural heritage.
The Resolute Beach loop walk offers a great variety of natural features and activities. Starting from the Resolute Picnic area or West Head Lookout, walk through the beautiful forest and down to Resolute Beach. There, you can enjoy the seclusion and pristine 60m stretch of sandy beach while taking in views of Pittwater and the Barrenjoey Headland. You can have a picnic or a swim before continuing on the circuit. The circuit walk goes anti-clockwise with other opportunities to stop for snacks and swims at West End Beach before an uphill section to the West Head Lookout. From the top, you can have the best views of Sydney, stretching out over the ocean. You will also pass by a number of secluded beaches, discovering hidden caves, and seeing Aboriginal rock carvings.
