Description

Roachdale Nature Trail Kersbrook is a small but interesting reserve located near the town of Kersbrook, South Australia.

Despite being burnt out by fires a few years ago, it is slowly re-growing and providing a home for birds and flowers. The 1.6 km long loop trail is considered easy and takes an average of 23 minutes to complete. It's a great place for birding, hiking, and walking, and dogs are not allowed on the trail.

The trail offers plenty of benches to enjoy the beautiful scenery and dappled sunshine along the way. There are also informative brochures to guide you on the self-guided walk. It's an ideal spot for bird watching, walking, and observing river and wildlife. During the spring season, there is an abundance of wildflower varieties to see.

The trail can be visited throughout the year, but it can be wet and slippery during the winter months. Spring is the best season to visit if you want to see wildflowers in bloom.

To get to Roachdale Nature Trail, you can drive approximately 45 minutes northeast from Adelaide. The circuit route begins and ends near the intersection of South Para Road and Wattle Road.

If you're passionate about walking and the outdoors, you can support the peak body for walking in South Australia. This not-for-profit organization relies on supporters to promote walking to all South Australians. You can show your support for as little as $22 per year.
