Description

Rosebud Beach is a popular swimming beach on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.

It stretches for nine kilometres and is protected by offshore sandbars.

The beach is safe and perfect for children, with lots of sandbars at low tide. Life Saving Clubs provide patrols on weekends and public holidays during summer. The foreshore reserve offers shaded picnic areas and barbeque facilities. There is also a newly built beachside playground and another smaller playground at Tom Salt Park. Coffee shops, cafes, and take away outlets are conveniently located across the road.

The beach is enjoyable to visit year-round, but summer is the ideal time when the weather is perfect and many visitors come.

Rosebud Beach is easily accessible by car, bus, or train. It is about an hour's drive from Melbourne via the Nepean Highway. Buses and train connections are also available.

Facilities at the beach include the Rosebud Skate Park, toilets at Rotary park, a fishing pier, and barbeque facilities. Visitors can also enjoy cycling or walking along the foreshore Bay trail.
