Description
Sal Salis is a coastal eco-retreat offering barefoot luxury in the heart of the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. Sal Salis is a member of the Luxury Lodges of Australia.
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is an exclusive safari camp hidden in the white sand dunes of Western Australia's Cape Range National Park. Nine spacious wilderness tents are just metres from the water's edge and the world's greatest fringing coastal coral reef. Sal Salis accommodation and hosting style exudes 'Wild Bush Luxury' and Sal Salis guides deliver an extraordinary insight to one of Australia's best kept natural secrets - Ningaloo Reef.
The award winning camp has been developed as one of the country's most ecologically-sound properties, under guidelines set down by the Western Australia Department of Environment and Conservation.
Sal Salis's guides take guests snorkelling and kayaking from the beach in front of the camp: the wonders of Ningaloo Reef lie just a few metres from shore. There are guided walks into the rugged Cape Range National Park interior, while regular camp visitors include kangaroos, emus and many other native anumals. In season and at an addtional cost guests can participate in whale shark swims and humpback whale watching cruises.
While the focus is on the surrounding environment, Sal Salis also ensures guests eat well, drink well and sleep well. Taking inspiration from the luxury tented camps of Africa, the individual safari tents are furnished with supremely comfortable king sized beds and fine linen, ensuite eco-friendly bathrooms.
Dinner is hosted against a back drop of rich orange sunsets over the Indian Ocean. The camp chef provides contemporary Australian cuisine with hints of bush food and native produce. A bar and lounge area with a small reference library provides a great spot to sit out of the heat of the day or enjoy a quiet sundowner with the kangaroos and wallaroos who appear from the bush for their evening graze.
Our 'Ultimate Ningaloo Experience' rate is inclusive of accommodation, all meals and beverages from a select open bar, daily guided activities (guided snorkels, kayak snorkels, gorge walks and wildlife viewing) and use of snorkel equipment.
Minimum two night stay.
Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.
Sal Salis is located 90 minutes from Exmouth airport or 60 minutes from Exmouth town by road.
