Description
Sale Common State Game Refuge is a beautiful wetlands area located just south of Sale on the South Gippsland Highway in Australia.
Originally cleared and drained in the late 1800s, the wetlands are now preserved for everyone to enjoy.
The wetlands area offers plenty of walking paths and boardwalks, making it an excellent place to explore. One of the highlights is the circular walk down to the La Trobe Swing Bridge. Visitors can spend a day exploring all the areas of the wetlands, which cover about 10 kilometers.
The best time to visit Sale Common State Game Refuge is during the summer months, from December to February, when the weather is warm and dry.
To get to Sale Common State Game Refuge, visitors can drive south from Sale on the South Gippsland Highway. The area is conveniently close to the center of Sale, making it easily accessible by bike or a short drive.
