Sandon Beach, also known as The Sandon, is a beautiful stretch of beach that runs for an impressive 10 kilometres.
The journey towards Sandon Beach can be a bit of an adventure due to the 10 kilometres of unsealed road from Brooms Head to Sandon, but this does not deter visitors from coming to soak up the sun and enjoy the crystal clear ocean water.
To reach Sandon Beach, visitors will need to drive along an unsealed road from Brooms Head for 10 kilometres. Once you arrive at the Sandon River campground, you will be delighted with the river on your right and the glorious beach on your left.
The beach itself is sublime with Plover Island providing protection for swimmers in the ocean. Novice surfers can also enjoy gentle waves perfect for surfing. The beach stretches north to Brooms Head, and visitors can enjoy a long walk along the coastline or simply relax on the sand and soak up the sun. The white sandy beach is perfect for picnics, sunbathing or just cooling off in the refreshing water.
The Sandon River is a stunning sight that visitors will love. The river runs alongside the campground making it easily accessible for visitors.
